The Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) was established as the statutory body charged with implementing the Kaduna State Geographic Information Systems Law. We are responsible for the administration of state lands, management of geographic data, and ensuring transparent land tenure.

Find answers to common questions about KADGIS services
You can apply for a Certificate of Occupancy through our online e-Services portal. Simply create an account, complete the application form, upload required documents (including survey plan, identification, and proof of payment), and submit. You can track your application status in real-time through your dashboard.
With our automated digital processing system, Certificate of Occupancy applications are typically completed within 14 working days from submission of complete documentation. Ground rent payments are processed instantly, while land allocation applications take 21-30 working days depending on verification requirements.
Land title verification can be done online through the KADGIS Property Search portal. Enter the property’s file number or coordinates to access ownership records, survey plans, and title status. For official verification certificates, submit a request through the e-Services portal with the applicable fee.
For land allocation, you’ll need: valid identification (National ID, Driver’s License, or International Passport), proof of address, tax clearance certificate, business registration documents (for commercial purposes), and duly completed allocation application form available on our portal.
