The Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) on Monday, 14th September 2026, presented its proposed 2027–2029 Multi-Year Budget to the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission.

The presentation, which formed part of the State’s budget preparation process, was led by the Director General of KADGIS, Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim.

In presenting the proposal, the DG highlighted the activities and programmes of the Service, its projected revenue and expenditure for the period, as well as the level of implementation and performance of the current year’s budget.

Dr Bashir also provided an overview of the Service’s achievements and ongoing initiatives, highlighting efforts aimed at improving land administration, strengthening revenue generation and enhancing service delivery to citizens.

The presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session during which the DG responded to questions from officials of the Commission, providing further explanations and clarifications on various aspects of the proposed budget and KADGIS operations.

Speaking after the presentation, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Mukhtar Ahmed Monrovia, commended KADGIS for its activities and achievements, particularly its efforts in resolving land-related disputes across Kaduna State.

He noted that the Service’s approach to land dispute resolution has resonated with citizens, particularly its efforts to address disputes through dialogue, fairness and amicable resolution.

The Commissioner also acknowledged the significant strides made by KADGIS in revenue generation, describing the performance as commendable.

He, however, stressed the need for the Service to continue exploring opportunities to improve its revenue base, noting that despite the progress recorded, there is still room for further improvement.

Hon. Monrovia encouraged KADGIS to sustain its reforms and initiatives while ensuring that its activities continue to contribute meaningfully to the development of Kaduna State
