Sequel to the public notice issued on Friday, September 4, 2026, concerning some plots in the Danhonu 2 area of Millennium City, a stakeholders’ meeting was convened today to address concerns surrounding a cemetery that had previously been allocated as plots with titles.

The meeting, which brought together relevant stakeholders, resolved that the cemetery be properly beaconed and designated as a G-item to preserve it for its intended purpose and prevent further encroachment.

It was also resolved that the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) be formally alerted to halt the issuance of any building permits within the affected area.

The community was further advised to fence the cemetery to safeguard it against possible encroachment in the future.

Speaking at the meeting, elders from the community expressed immense gratitude to the Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of Governor Senator Uba Sani, for ordering the reinstatement and preservation of the cemetery.

They also commended the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) for the swift action taken to address the issue, describing the intervention as a demonstration of the government’s responsiveness to the concerns of citizens.

The elders prayed for continued divine guidance for the KADGIS management as it discharges its responsibilities of ensuring effective land administration and the protection of public land in Kaduna State.
